Emergency service

Plumbing emergency? Call right now.

Burst pipe, active flooding, no water, sewer backup, or water heater actively leaking — we respond fast across Salem and the Willamette Valley.

Call (503) 917-3259 Available 24/7 for active-damage emergencies

Before we arrive — do these three things

  1. Shut off the water. Find your main shutoff valve and close it. This stops damage from getting worse while we're on the way.
  2. Contain the water. Towels, buckets, or a mop on standing water prevents damage to flooring. Move valuables away from the leak if safe to do so.
  3. Call us with details. The more specific you can be about what's happening, the faster we can bring the right tools. Is it spraying? Dripping? Backing up? Any smell?

What we consider an emergency

  • Burst or split pipe — spraying water, pressurized leak
  • Major water leak — visible water accumulating, ceiling staining fast, slab leak with warm floor
  • Sewer backup — toilet overflowing with sewage, drains backing up throughout the home
  • Complete loss of water — no water anywhere in the home when it's a connected/plumbed issue
  • Water heater actively leaking — water pooling around the base, tank failure
  • Gas smell near a gas water heater or plumbing appliance — leave the house, call us from outside

What's not an emergency (but we'll still take care of you)

Slow drain, running toilet, minor drip, water heater that's stopped producing hot water but isn't leaking, low water pressure — none of these are active-damage situations. They still need to be fixed, but they can usually wait until business hours. That's cheaper for you and better for our schedule. Call (503) 917-3259 during business hours (Mon–Fri 8am–5pm) for same-day or next-day service at standard rates.

After-hours pricing

We're transparent about emergency pricing. After-hours, weekend, and holiday calls carry an emergency service fee on top of our regular hourly rate — the specific amount depends on the time of call and the service window. We disclose the fee when you call, before we dispatch. You always agree to the charges before we start work.

Frequently asked questions

What counts as a plumbing emergency?
A plumbing emergency is any situation causing active damage or making the home unsafe/unusable. Common examples: burst pipe, major water leak (especially a slab leak or active ceiling leak), sewer backing up into the home, complete loss of water, water heater actively leaking, or a gas smell near a gas water heater. If any of these describe your situation, call us at (503) 917-3259 immediately.
What should I do before the plumber arrives?
Shut off the water supply. Find your main shutoff valve (usually in the garage, a utility closet, or outside near the meter) and close it. For a water heater leak, you can shut off the isolation valve above the tank. For a gas leak smell, leave the house and call us from outside — do not use lights or appliances until cleared. For sewer backup, stop using all water in the home.
Do you charge extra for emergency service?
Yes. After-hours, weekend, and holiday calls carry an emergency service fee on top of our standard rates. We disclose the fee before dispatching so there are no surprises. Daytime weekday emergencies during business hours are billed at standard rates.
How fast can you respond to an emergency in Salem?
For most Salem-area emergencies during business hours, we can be on-site in 1–2 hours. After-hours response depends on technician availability but we prioritize active-damage emergencies. Call (503) 917-3259 and we will give you a real ETA, not a promise we can't keep.
How do I shut off my water?
Every home has a main shutoff valve. Common locations: inside the garage on an exterior wall, in a utility closet, in the basement near where the water line enters, or outside at the water meter. Turn the valve 90 degrees clockwise (or close a ball valve handle to perpendicular to the pipe). If you can't find it or it won't turn, the water company can shut off at the meter — call them or call us and we will walk you through it.

Don't wait on an active leak.

Every minute of standing water or active leak is more damage to fix later. Call now — we'll tell you straight whether it's an emergency and what our earliest arrival time is.
